10 ways to use your blog....

1. Share materials, news, downloads, links and more. Anything that you post to your blog will instantly be accessible by your students from school and from home. What’s more, you can easily manage who gets to access them through passwords and privacy measures. This is very helpful to school's now days. I can use my blog to inform students and parents on upcoming information about the Midfield High School band program. The days of sending out paper work are over and I am so glad that it is.

2. Facilitate online discussions and collaboration. Forms can be used on my blog to give out information about discussions and band uni-forms and where the band would like to go for thier spring trip. Students can simply respond to blog posts and discuss topics through comments or on our simple to use forums.Collboration should be the key between parents and students. I hate parents calling my phone and the blog would give them a great way to ask questions.

3. Create a class publication that students can easily publish to and you can easily edit. This makes a great class project. Who wouldn't love to create a music blog. The blog can be used as a website for a class. Just think about it. A student could learn how to blog and use it to start their own blog for a local band or even event's. They could use all type's of designs to create their blog and information.Seamlessly produce a custom designed, finely tuned and engaging collaborative online publication by your class.

In fact, you can use your edublog to create a multi-layered, in-depth, multimedia rich website – that hardly looks like a blog at all.I also am using my blog as my website, adding pictures and other information. Students can read information about me and see pictures of upcoming event's. I love using my blog, it was a great idea to use them for our tech class this summer at Samford.
